The latest update adds a new field of view slider, allowing players to customize their gaming experience. Additionally, some minor changes were made to the fast travel mechanic, and the fifth campaign add-on for Borderlands 2 on Switch, titled Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, is now available on the Switch eShop. Unfortunately, these errors have been preventing many from enjoying the new content.

Most reports have the game telling them “The game crashed due to an error,” without much explanation as to what the error was or how to fix it. There are some workarounds that fans have discovered, but these haven’t been working for everyone. Players experiencing this crash can try archiving the game’s software. When redownloading the game, holding “L” on the controller will cause it to just download the software without any DLC. Players then need to ignore the prompt to download the latest Borderlands 2 DLC after starting the game.
This solution has worked for some but not all players experiencing the issue. It seems like for most the crashes are related to the DLC add on, but that isn’t entirely clear yet. With any luck, Gearbox Software or 2K Games will come out with a fix for this issue in the near future, but in the meantime, players may have to wait for the Borderlands DLC on Switch.
