For those unfamiliar with Vault Cards, they are essentially Borderlands 3’s take on a battle pass system. Available exclusively to owners of the Designer’s Cut DLC, the first two Cards had the themes Fallen Heroes and Welcome to Pandora. While the first Vault Card’s focus on paying homage to dead characters made it popular, and the second featured items from the cult classic Tales from the Borderlands, fantasy fans in particular should get a kick out of the latest and final addition to the lineup.

Bunkers and Badasses made its debut in the beloved Assault on Dragon Keep expansion for Borderlands 2, and it was featured via some easter eggs in Borderlands 3. With the board game set to be the focus of the upcoming spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, it has become a huge deal within the games and outside of them. As always, the new Vault Card features some exclusive Legendary gear, heads, skins, and cosmetics - all of which fit the Bunkers and Badasses theme.
Amara gets a Wizard hat resembling Tina’s own from the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands promotional material, while FL4K gets an awesome head that with horns that loosely resemble those of the Dragon Lord, the main antagonist of the upcoming game. Moze’s head has a skull face plate, while Zane’s takes on a raven-like appearance. Though there are a few standout weapon skins, the one featuring Butt Stallion is the standout, with the steed featured in a trinket and ECHO design as well. Other trinkets include a sword, dragon, and one of Tina’s bunnies in a hat.
With Tiny Tina’s rabbit plushie even featuring as a room decoration, there is plenty of cosmetic content to be excited about, though the gear will be more interesting to some players. A Dahl Assault Rifle called Creeping Corruption has a unique Corruption effect, while Blade Fury is a Jakobs Assault Rifle that shoots out knives - meaning it could be very strong for Amara players. The Torgue Sidewinder grenade is a heatseeker, deploying sticky bombs on whatever it touches, while Pangolin’s Mana Well shield rounds out the lineup with some slam-related boosts.
As is the case with the previous versions, players will progress the Vault Card through daily challenges, weekly challenges, and earned XP from playing the game. With Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands still a few months away, there should be plenty of time to unlock the Bunker Masters items.
Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
