While the focus is undoubtedly shifting to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, as Borderlands 3’s post-launch support came to an end with the release of the Director’s Cut, it is nice to see a small addition made to the game through some newly announced loyalty rewards. The concept of loyalty rewards is an excellent gesture that rewards those that have stuck by the series, and it is a trend that should continue to be seen as Borderlands continues to grow.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and Borderlands 3 Loyalty Content
Not only is there a free cosmetic pack for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands fans to claim, but Gearbox has introduced two special loyalty rewards for those that own both Borderlands 3 and the soon-to-be-released Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. By playing both games through one Shift account, gamers can obtain a special item in each, with said items being sent through the in-game mail system.
In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, players will be able to use a custom banner dubbed Hunter of Vaults. The background of this banner is a stylish red color, with a yellow Vault symbol seen as well. The other item is even more exciting, as Borderlands 3 players will be able to use the TNTina pistol. A Torgue weapon, it lives up to its name, with the explosive gun being perfect for Tina due to both its functionality and its aesthetic.
It’s worth noting that the TNTina pistol can also be unlocked through the Guardian Breach Takedown. It will be a random drop from the first boss, Anathema the Relentless, though players will have to put in some work to get the gun this way. Regardless, this is a great gesture on Gearbox’s part, as it shows an appreciation for those that love the series. Going forward, the publisher should continue using programs like this, rewarding the biggest fans of the games.
What Future Loyalty Content For Borderlands Could Provide
The upcoming Borderlands movie will provide Gearbox with another opportunity to deliver some loyalty rewards. Select theaters could provide Shift codes alongside Borderlands movie tickets, which could allow players to unlock some cosmetics based on the film. This could be anything from reskinned character models for Borderlands 3 that look more like the cast of the movie to a weapon that pays homage to a standout scene from the film.
Likewise, whenever Borderlands 4 releases, Gearbox could do the same thing it is doing with the Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands rewards. Next time, special weapons and comsetics could be provided for players that use the same Shift account within Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and Borderlands 4, giving owners something in the next game and the active title. While content like the TNTina pistol is small in the grand scheme of things, little bonuses like this go a long way to raising player morale. As such, Gearbox should ensure they continue, regularly dropping new loyalty rewards for the community.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands launches on March 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
