To accompany the announcement, Guns, Love, and Tentacles also received a new trailer. The trailer is only a minute and a half long, but it’s full of open shots of the expansion’s various new environments. It teases a variety of new monstrous enemies, too. There’s also a bit of teasing regarding the expansion’s story, including Wainwright and Hammerlock’s relationship. It definitely isn’t a deep dive into the DLC, though, players will have to experience the full DLC for themselves.

One exciting thing from the reveal that some may have missed on the first viewing is that Gaige, the Mechromancer from Borderlands 2, is returning. Many fans were wondering if Gaige would be making an appearance in Borderlands 3, as she was one of a few playable characters notably absent.
Borderlands 3 owners will be able to download Guns, Love, and Tentacles surprisingly soon. Gearbox confirmed that the new expansion will launch on March 26. That’s just a month away for players to get their affairs in order and finish any other content they were working on before the DLC is available.
On top of Guns, Love, and Tentacles, Gearbox also revealed its spring roadmap for Borderlands 3 for the next several months of events and content. In April, Gearbox will put out Mayhem Mode 2.0 for free, plus it will hold a free in-game event named Revenge of the Cartels. Finally, in May, another free Takedown update that’s eridium-themed will be released with all-new loot, cosmetics, and enemies.
Gearbox continues its lengthy post-launch content run with Borderlands 3. Beyond Guns, Love, and Tentacles and the three months of free content updates planned for Borderlands 3, there’s still more to come. The Borderlands 3 Season Pass includes two more major DLC releases. On the game’s current schedule, they’ll continue being released three months apart. That would make for DLC launches in June and October, and would also make for a perfect opportunity to launch a Game of the Year Edition for next-gen consoles this holiday season.
Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
