Borderlands Shift Codes are a treasure, with Gearbox handing them out now and then for various occassions. Back in September, Gearbox dropped two Shift Codes to celebrate Borderlands 3’s anniversary, gifting players exclusive items like skins for the playable Vault Hunters, as well as some Legendary gear from the Diamond Armory. Borderlands 3 since the launch of the Director’s Cut DLC has been paying tribute to all corners of the franchise through its Vault Cards. In the most recent Vault Card, players can unlock a variety of items that reference the Bunkers and Badasses DLC from Borderlands 2, and the upcoming Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Randy Pitchford, the founder of Gearbox, has dropped a new Shift Code for Borderlands 3 players to use this Thanksgiving week. Using the code will award players 3 Golden Keys which can be used in the Golden Key Loot Chest on Sanctuary 3 to get some rare loot. The code can be redeemed until November 25, which as Pitchford notes in his tweet, “Hey, that’s Thanksgiving!” Players can redeem the code in-game or online at the official Shift Code website.

Perhaps this gift of a Shift Code could also be seen as Gearbox giving back to its fans for making Borderlands as popular as it is. A recent report recently confirmed that Borderlands 3 is 2K Games’ fastest selling game yet, having sold nearly 14 million units since its launch in September 2019. Following the success of Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Tales From the Borderlands, the excellent Telltale spin-off game, fans had to wait a long time before Borderlands 3 was finally released. Now with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands on the way, it seems Borderlands property is set to just keep growing.

For those playing Borderlands 3, whether just starting the game, or plowing through the latest Vault Card, new Shift Codes are always a welcome sight. This may also be a good opportunity to jump back into Borderlands 3 ahead of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands release early next year, as some fresh loot can provide an easier return to the game. Shift Codes have been a fundamental way for Gearbox to connect with its players dating back to Borderlands 2, so Borderlands 3 will probably not be their end.

Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
