The latest Loot Cave exploit has been found inside of Borderlands 3, giving Mayhem 10 players a nearly limitless way to farm quality gear. Thanks to a new video from Glitching Queen, players can nab thousands of Eridium per hour as well as the treasure chest encased in it on Skywell-27. This update is a follow up to another recent video which detailed how to basically grow and multiply Eridium by resetting the Mayhem mode modifiers in the Skywell zone, which would result in more crystals being added to the box. Players were able to get anywhere from 6-8 melee hits on the crystals after 3 resets, much higher than the normal 2.

In this updated method, players using this method have discovered that resetting Mayhem also seems to duplicate the treasure chest as well. For example, if the Eridium crystals have been duplicated up to 6 hits, the box can also be opened three times. Basically, for every two Eridium hits, the player should get one box opening. One the box is opened, players can aim their weapon at the middle of the box, near the green diamond logo, or the end corners to see the word “Use” with the action button appear again.

Pressing the action button opens the box again and thankfully, it doesn’t make the current weapons disappear, only adds to what’s available to be picked up. Glitching Queen also revealed Xbox players are seemingly able to duplicate this box up to 8. For those struggling with this, the best advise is to shut off the game completely, close out out, then load it back up and after a few tries, the duplication method should start working.

Interested players should jump on this quickly as Gearbox is expected to close this latest loot cave. Not only has the company been known to make quick fixes for things it deemed broken, but a similar loot chest duplication glitch on the Cistern of Slaughter was also patched out by the studio. For now, this remains one of the best farming methods for quality Mayhem 10 gear as well as Eridium.
