Gearbox released a video showcasing the first 11 minutes of Moxxi’s Heist not too long ago, but this new footage is chock full of new gameplay that was either cut from the original video or expands on it. It also helps that this new gameplay features 4-player co-op, so not only can Borderlands 3 players see more character classes in action but they can see the interaction and difficulty involved in taking a full squad into the Handsome Jackpot.

New gameplay shown includes an odd man with a pencil-thin mustache doing live broadcasts over the Handsome Jackpot’s monitors, the first meeting with a masked NPC who is both familiar and not, and a mission the involves finding dead fish to make the casino stink. The video editor cut all of the big story moments that the players experienced except for the introduction of the one NPC. For those worries about spoilers,  there are only very small ones in the gameplay.

The new trailer may have actually been more interesting than the 13 minutes of new gameplay Gearbox previously shared. It starts with a funny holiday-themed stop-motion video and then does a lengthy montage showcasing new features from Moxxi’s Heist. These include teasers for new story missions and side quests, new enemies like the mimic slot machine, new loot including vault hunter heads and skins, and more.

Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is Borderlands 3’s first premium DLC and is also the first of four different expansions planned for the game over the next year. Nothing is known about those upcoming 3 premium expansions, but hopefully Moxxi’s Heist will provide Borderlands 3 players with an idea of what to expect. Given that the Borderlands 3 Season Pass costs a pricey $49.99, it may be worth knowing what’s planned before investing.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot releases December 19 across all platforms.
