RELATED: Borderlands 3 Review
In past Borderlands games, developer Gearbox has previously introduced post-launch DLC content in the form of a new storyline, quests, and playable characters. However, the developer recently confirmed that Borderlands 3 won’t be getting additional DLC characters, which means that players will be left with Amara, Flak, Moze, and Zane as their Vault Hunters. When asked about the possibility of DLC characters, creative director Paul Sage responded with, “Probably not, no,” which appears to be definitive for now but may still be open to changes along the way.
Although Borderlands 3 may not be getting additional DLC characters, the game will still receive post-launch events in the future. Several days ago, Gearbox announced Borderlands 3’s first DLC event called Bloody Harvest. The event will be a free update, but will only be available for a limited time. Just in time for Halloween, Bloody Harvest will introduce halloween-themed skins, enemies, and environments. The event will also allow players to unlock two new legendaries, as well as various loot including a new grenade mod.
Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
