In a recent interview at Gamescom 2019, Borderlands 3 creative director Paul Sage was asked about a potential return for the iconic Borderlands 2 villain Handsome Jack. Sage revealed that the studio knew there’d be a big response to seeing Jack return, but bringing him back would essentially undermine everything that happened in Borderlands 2. Ultimately, the team decided to move on as the ending to Borderlands 2 felt pretty definitive in terms of Jack’s fate....

In a short statement released via social media, Gearbox confirmed that the Director’s Cut for Borderlands 3 will no longer be released in March. Instead, the Director’s Cut will receive a delay of near a month. The new release date for the Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut add-on will be April 8. Obviously, that’s not too severe of a delay at all. Still, Gearbox wanted to be transparent about the situation so that Borderlands 3 fans wouldn’t be disappointed....

In an effort to help hype up its panel tomorrow, a new, minute-long teaser trailer was released earlier today called Borderlands Mask of Mayhem. The trailer itself doesn’t confirm anything regarding a third entry in the series or whether or not Mask of Mayhem is the title of the game, but the footage does feature plenty of things fans will likely recognize from the franchise. The iconic robot Claptrap makes multiple appearances along with plenty of guns and the psycho enemies, whose masks typically are used for a lot of marketing and promotional materials....

Today, Gearbox finally revealed the official trailer for Borderlands 3 in all its face bursting glory. The trailer opens with two deadly looking characters walking into frame, followed by Lilith, who seems to be returning for the next installment. We also get a quick look at the combat in the game, including a sneak peek at the abilities of the four playable characters. Specifically, we’re able to get a look at, possibly, the new Siren’s ability, who revealed six spectral arms, as it looks like this time around the Siren will be more of a bruiser like Brick or Krieg....
